We’re in the final days of 2024, and today, I want to reflect on the year and all that’s happened. It’s easy to keep pushing forward without ever stopping to celebrate our wins, which is such a shame!

So today, I’m going to share a little recap of my year with you to let you into my life a little more. Hopefully it will inspire you to reflect on what 2024 was for you.

Here we go…

I2A growth

The I2A Team!

This was a great year for growing my business. My team went from 2 full-time staff to 4, growing 100%! Taylor and Thea joined Jackie and me, and it’s been amazing.

Having a team of talented, strong women to help me grow this business has been a dream of mine, and just 2 1/2 years after launching I2A, here we are

We welcomed >100 new women into the the community through the Own Your Seat at the Table group program, which brings me more joy than you can know. Some of the community members have landed their first VP roles and even C-level roles! And we’ve been there to support their growth and cheer them on along the way.

As more women went through the program and didn’t want it to end, I finally decided to launch the I2A Community, a private membership for program alumni. I look forward to these calls every month and am grateful for each and every one of the women who are part of it.

We also announced the first I2A retreat, which will be taking place in Mexico in April 2025 with a dozen women from the community. This is a dream come true to me – I can’t wait!!

My business hit the $1M milestone, an exciting goal to cross off the list. The more I grow this business, the more I can help close the gender gap in senior leadership, which is the real mission.

Some big hits

I started writing for Forbes! This was a really cool one for me, because I never considered myself a writer or thought I was ‘good enough’ to write for a publication like Forbes (Lesson: Don’t sell yourself short!!). Writing for Forbes was a big dream that I decided to pursue (yes, I went after them – they did not come knocking), and I made it a reality.

I had the opportunity to be on some fun podcasts, which I always love. One that stood out was being a guest on Tracy Otsuka’s ADHD For Smart Ass Women, which was a goal of mine ever since being diagnosed with ADHD and finding her podcast (it helped me a ton).

I love podcasts so much that I also decided to launch my own podcast! Stay tuned – it’s coming in March 2025.

I went to two business mastermind retreats, and they blew me away. The amount of learning… The women in the room… The energy it created… wow. I now prioritize investing in these retreats because I know being a part of them is a game-changer. I can’t wait for the next one!

Finally, one of my goals for 2024 was to expand my network with women I could be inspired by, learn from, and connect with. Boy, did I meet some amazing women! Earlier this month I flew to LA to meet up with a handful of them, and the icing on the cake was an event at Tiffany’s on Rodeo with some of the top women entrepreneurs out there. I met the founders of two beloved brands I use all the time and a ton of other badass women. Talk about inspiring.

Personal updates

You read my newsletters weekly, so I also want to share some personal life updates from 2024 since you’re in my inner circle.

I ran my first ultra-marathon this year! And then my second! For those who think that’s totally crazy, I was you just 2 years ago. Never say never, and never assume you can’t do something.

We welcomed this beautiful boy into our family! We got Hudson in September and my dream of having a golden retriever was finally realized.

My youngest kiddo started JK, my middle guy discovered hockey and my eldest traveled to Montreal and New York for model UN conferences all by themself (well, not alone, but without me!).

We also did some great family travel this year, exploring Banff and BC. So much fun!

All in all, I’m constantly reminded just how lucky I am to live the life that I do. I’ve come a long way from where I started, and that’s not lost on me. I practice gratitude every single night.

Finally, I want to share my gratitude for every one of you reading this newsletter. I never thought my words would reach so many. I hope you’ve found the topics I shared over the year to be helpful and that I’ve been able to add value in my daily posts and weekly insights.

Whether you’re reflecting on all of the amazing parts of 2024, or just bidding it good riddance (ummm that was 2019 for me), I wish you a beautiful New Year. 2025 is a clean slate, so cheers to that!

Until next time friends… ✌️💜

Katy
