September is here. Not sure about you, but this was a crazy busy week getting the kids off to school and ensuring they have everything they need to start the year off right.

My three kiddos (5, 12, and 15) are all in different schools this year AND in different school boards! (I know, WTF) It was a bit nuts.

Despite the chaos, I love the feeling that September brings. The air is a little crisper, the energy is different, and this provides a great opportunity to harness that energy!

Why September feels like a new year

It's not uncommon to view September as somewhat of a new beginning. Many people refer to it as a ‘second January' due to cultural and environmental factors like the start of the academic year and the end of summer vacation.

It just ‘feels' like a fresh start.

For this reason, many people also use it as an opportunity to start new goals, create new habits and launch new projects.

It's also a great time to think about your career and changes that you may want to make.

For this newsletter, I want to use September as an opportunity to reflect on the goals you set for 2025: reviewing what you wanted to accomplish this year, taking stock of what you've already achieved and creating a plan for the things that have fallen off.

This is your opportunity to make a decision:

What do you want to have achieved by the end of this calendar year?

As we head into the Fall, we can feel the year coming to a close. Some people I know hit this point in the year and freak out because they haven't made the progress on their goals that they wanted to.

But remember, there are still 4 months left in the year. That's a lot of time!

You have a third of the year left. How do you want to spend it?

Use September to Reclaim Your Momentum

Like I said, there are still four whole months left in the year. That’s over 120 days. Plenty of time to make things happen.

This is your opportunity to recalibrate, re-prioritize, and re-engage.

And if you need some help in that department, I've created a Fall reflection exercise to help you do just that. So grab a pen and paper or open a document, and let's take just a few minutes for this important reset:

Fall Reset: A Guided Check-In

  1. Review your January goals
    • What were you hoping to create or achieve this year?
  2. Check your alignment
    • Are these still the right goals?
    • What’s changed since then in your life, career, or values?
  3. What's gone well?
    • What progress or wins are you proud of (even if they’re not “finished”)?
  4. What are the gaps?
    • What’s gotten in the way?
    • What support, structure, or shift might you need now?
  5. Set 1–3 refreshed goals for Q4
    • What would make the rest of this year feel meaningful or satisfying?
    • Be specific. Be bold. Be kind to yourself.

Here’s your invitation:

Don’t write off the rest of the year. Reclaim it.

If you attended one of Thursday's masterclasses and landing a VP role is on the list, now is your opportunity! Multiple women who have gone through this program have been promoted to Sr. Director or VP before the end of the 12 weeks – that means you can achieve your goal before the end of 2025.

Here's the link to join. Once the doors close, you'll have to wait for 2026 for your next chance!

If you didn't attend the masterclass, there's one more opportunity to do so this year. You can sign up here to grab your spot.

Whatever your goals are, know I'm cheering you on from here!

Until next time friends… ✌️💜
